RMI Files for Patent on Econ/O/Glide Door

August 15, 1999 -- Los Angeles, California.  Refrigerator Manufacturers, Inc., also known as RMI and ECON/O/COLD, today announced that they have filed for a Patent on their new ECON/O/GLIDE Automatic Power Door.  RMI said that this Patent adds to the growing list of RMI's industry leading cold storage industry achievements.  The ECON/O/GLIDE APD (Automatic Power Door) is the first man rated sliding automatic door specifically designed for use in Cold Storage Rooms.  The door includes State-of-the-art motion and presence sensors to open and shut the cold storage room doors for convenient, hands free access.  The door features an Authorized Operator Key-switch, a handheld remote control, and a highly reliable brushless DC motor.
